The Club de Golf Guadalmina consists of two different courses: Guadalmina Sur (south course) and Guadalmina Norte (north course).
Guadalmina Sur is the oldest course. It was opened in 1959 and was designed by Javier Arana. It is renowned for being an extremely tough course, so it is only really recommended for expert players. There are few water or earth hazards but the vegetation is abundant and it’s very easy to lose the ball. The 4th and the 16th are especially tricky.
The Guadalmina Norte course was opened in 1973 and runs parallel to the south course. It is easier but it contains more water hazards and the terrain is more hilly with several slopes. The 7th and the 14th are especially tricky and are bordered by water.
The Club de Golf de Guadalmina is only a few minutes from the town of San Pedro de Alcántara, between Marbella and Sotogrande.
You can stay at the Guadalmina Golf Hotel or, if you prefer, the location of the club in the heart of the Costa del Sol/Costa del Golf means there is an extensive range of options for accommodation."
