"Year Opened: 2005
Situated in the Doсa Julia Golf Resort, a spectacular complex in Casares, between Marbella and Sotogrande, just 45 minutes from Malaga airport and a few kilometres from Gibraltar. The course at Doсa Julia Golf Club is perfectly integrated into the natural environment of the area and offers superb views of the Mediterranean and the African coast.
The course has 18 holes and a (provisional) par of 71, with an overall length of 5,976 metres. It was built to the standards of the United States Golf Association (USGA) with regard to tees, bunkers, drainage and greens.
It was designed by the prestigious Malaga architect Antonio Garcнa Garrido, the designer of some of Spain’s most emblematic courses.
The most outstanding feature of this course, which was developed by the Evamarina Group, is the large size of its greens.
The golf course offers two extremely varied rounds and is suitable for players of all levels. The first 9 holes are longer and more difficult, and run between indigenous trees, lakes and gullies, The second 9 holes are more comfortable to play on, over gentle terrain, and very close to the sea. A challenge for both professional players and those with a low handicap."
