Description
|
"Year Opened: 1990 Year of Federation Membership: 1990 It was Severiano Ballesteros who designed this magnificent course with its two main features being its size and the views of the sea and the beach at Cádiz. It is situated on a private residential estate near to Chiclana de la Frontera. The course offers Two different rounds. It has 36 holes, with the last 9 being of recent construction. The course was designed in line with American aesthetic tastes and it is a real joy to walk around. It is covered with numerous species of tree and you can see the sea from wherever you are standing. The lakes take on a special importance on the long, wide fairways, which are perfect for big hitters. There are numerous hotels near the course, with perhaps the best being the Hotel Melia Sancti Petri, situated a mere 3 minutes walk from the course. The Novo Sancti Petri Golf Course is located in the Novo Sancti Petri housing development on Cadiz's Atlantic coast, near the village Chiclana de la Frontera. This golf resort includes the housing complex, the golf course and several hotels. This new complex, which is based on a new type of tourism philosophy, occupies nearly 400 hectares at the magnificent beach of La Barrosa in Chiclana de la Frontera - 9 km of unspoilt beach - 30 km from Cádiz, 50 km from Jerez, 120 km from Gibraltar, 155 km from Seville and 240 km from Málaga. This region is the authentic Spain, the heart of Andalusia with its Sherry and "bodegas", its flamenco, bulls and horses, its "white villages" and natural parks. The mild climate converts this region into an ideal destination for any type of sport for the whole family all the year through."
