The course is over 6000 metres long, with a par of 72 over 18 holes, made up of 4 par-3’s, 10 par-4’s and 4 par-5’s, with a notable difference in technical environmental characteristics between the first 9 holes and the remaining 9.
The course was designed by David Thomas and inaugurated in 1989.
The first nine holes form a relatively short and quite technical stretch of the course.
The tee on the 1st hole, raised over a beautiful lake, requires great concentration and provides a pleasant foretaste of an exciting round.
The 7th hole, with its unbeatable view of the Pyrenees, helps to take some of the tension out of the game.
On the back nine holes, the courses appears in all of its glory. The tee on the 10th is impressive, over a natural water reserve.
The tee on the 1st hole, raised over a beautiful lake, requires great concentration and provides a pleasant foretaste of an exciting round.
The par-5 5th, with it its slight curve to the right, raised tee and a narrow corridor between the trees, requires great accuracy.
The 7th hole, which slopes to the left, offers an unbeatable view of the Pyrenees, which helps to take some of the tension out of the game.
An ancient oak tree plays a fundamental role on the fairway of the 9th.
Watch out for the 12th with its stroke index of 1; it’s a long hole running uphill and the green has an awkward entrance. What a beautiful par-3 the 14th is! - with a raised tee falling to a green protected by a marvellous stream.
The changes in ground level on the 16th - a long par-4 - are worth a special mention. The tee of the 18th provides a view of the clubhouse and the Montseny massif, with “El Matagalls”, its northern-most peak. It’s fantastic!
