"Formed in 1889 and originally occupying land just along the road, the club moved to its present location in 1905. In 1927 the club purchased further land and in June 1930 the redesigned course opened for play – it has changed little since then. You will find a challenging heathland and moorland course built on a plateau of lava rock overlooking the Clyde Valley. It provides both a unique challenge to golfers of all abilities and a stunning panorama with 54 hills and landmarks to be seen."
