"Established in 1893, Lothianburn Golf Club is situated at the foot of the Pentland Hills, just a mile south of Scotland's Capital City, Edinburgh.Lothianburn enjoys a high reputation across the Lothians for the condition and speed of its superb greens, and there are a good variety of holes, including two demanding par 5's and some tricky short par 4's. There are a mere 30 bunkers, all strategically located, and the signature feature of the course is the 'T - Wood', an area of tall beech trees which saddles the lower slopes of the Pentlands and comes into play on the 7th through 13th. At just under 6,000 yards, Lothianburn may be short by today's standards, but with a SSS of 69 against the par of 71 and greens which regularly exceed 11 on the Stimpmeter during the summer, it represents a stiff test for golfers of all levels."
