"The Braid Hills No. 1 course offers one of the best rounds of golf in the Edinburgh area. Set high above the capital it commands panoramic views across the whole of Edinburgh. The course is set amongst some of the most fearsome gorse rough and spectacular tee shots to beautifully kept and true greens are a common occurrence. The Braid Hills No. 2 course, partner to Braid Hills No. 1, is equally impressive with fine views over the capital. This 4, 602-yard par 65 course plays over the Braid Hills and the front nine holes are some of the most testing that Edinburgh has to offer. The course is immaculately kept and the fairways surrounded by punishing gorse, but straight drives are prized with approach shots to beautiful and true greens. The par four 389-yard eighth requires a straight drive to the right of the fairway to avoid the slope to the left. Your second shot will then command a fine view of the green over a small glen."
