"Founded in 1931, this friendly club, perched high on the clifftops overlooking the North Sea, is the ideal place to get away from it all and enjoy some good golf. To the first time visitor, driving into the car park and looking out over the course the first impression may be that this is an easy place to play with no trees and few hazards to be seen. On the contrary, Flamborough's chief hazard cannot be seen, but you can almost definitely feel it - the wind.

Club selection is governed by the wind's strength and direction and, even if you manage to get it right in the morning, don't think you have it cracked for the afternoon - the slightest change makes for an almost entirely different challenge!"
