"Birley Wood Golf Club, situated at the top of a plateau on top of a hill in Sheffield, may not be a course of championship standard, but if you're looking for a fun-filled round of golf you'd be hard pushed to find anywhere better in Yorkshire.
This friendly, likeable club will make you feel very welcome and green fees at particularly low, especially for juniors. You'll find this course is perfect for beginners and those young tots who are about to his their first shots!
A great deal of money has been invested in the course in recent years, including improving the drainage system at a number of holes.
Water is a prevalent feature, so club selection is a priority over length."
