"The 18 hole course of 6200 yards and a par 72 provides a good test of golf for all abilities, and has an inland links feel due to the rolling fairways and undulating greens.

It offers holes that with their natural and artificial hazards, require drives to be expertly placed, approaches carefully judged and the greens expertly read.

The small contour greens demand well-placed and accurate shots, and even if you are on in regulation figures, a par is by no means a certainty. The elements, as with any links course, play an important role in affecting your score, Broadway on a breezy day can be a tough challenge!

The course has been a sheepwalk down the centuries, but parts of it are older still and are registered with the Department of the Environment as an ancient monument. A tumulus near the club-house is believed to be an ancient burial ground and experts say that the fortifications of a British Camp run along the edge of the 14th fairway."
