"Bowood Golf and Country Club lies in the western corner of \'Capability\' Brown\'s 2,000 acre Great Park. Bowood offers a combination of beautiful surroundings, a magnificent course, excellent service and catering, and state of the art facilities. The club opened in 1992 and covers 250 acres of the Park. In accordance with his brief, Dave Thomas designed a course which can be enjoyed by all levels of golfer, from the occasional player to the experienced professional. The course extends over 200 acres of parkland giving a genuine feeling of getting away from the stresses and strains of modern life."
