Bird Hills features wide open fairways, numerous water hazards and strategically placed bunkers, the latter two perfectly capable of turning the screw on most mild-mannered golfers. The open fairways, however, a rare treat in a golf course these days, allow you to open the shoulders and give it a good whack!
The par five 13th is a great hole where you are required to avoid fairway bunkers left and right before deciding whether to try and reach the green, which has water at the back, in two."
