Some of the best amateur players in the history of golf have played The Berkshire as it is home to the annual Berkshire Trophy. Recent winners of the 72-hole stroke-play event are England team member Ross Fisher and Walker Cup star and former British Amateur champion Gary Wolstenholme. Previous winners are none other than Sir Michael Bonallack, Nick Faldo, Peter Oosterhuis and Peter McEvoy."
