"If you are anything like most modern day golfers, you will agree that, as much as the course is an important factor in enjoying any round of golf, it can often be the views and scenery that makes it. Few places in Hampshire can quite match the course at Barton-on-Sea Golf Club, as it enjoys spectacular views from pretty much every vantage point on the course.

Indeed, hazards litter the course all over adding to the personality of it, not to mention the difficulty. Take your time to consider each shot, because it is rare for big mistakes to go unpunished on this course.

Afterwards, take the time to relax with a drink in the clubhouse and soak up the friendly atmosphere that pervades.

Barton-on-Sea Golf Club, founded in 1897, is situated on the coastal cliff between Highcliffe and Milford-on-Sea. The current 27 holes are a combination of the original Harry Colt design from 1932 and the newer holes designed by the well-known J. Hamilton Stutt, a founder member of the Association of British Golf Course Architects which were completed in 1992."
