Description

"Not a long course, with 5 par 3's and 2 par 5's for a par of 69 or 68 if played from the yellow tees. None of the par 4's are particularly long but only one is less than 300yds.
Hole 2 is one of the short par 4's at 308 yds and quite unusual as the green is in a huge depression. You can drive past the two fairway bunkers but you may be best to lay-up 100yds out so as not to get too fussy with the wedge.
The par 3 sixth has a well protected green with bunkers or sloping ground on all sides. You have to cross the road after this hole, be careful not to play the 13th by mistake.
Across the road hole 7 is the longest par 4 at 466 yds. With bunkers short of the green to catch the fainthearted and sloping ground to the back and sides of the green.
The 9th is actually easier from the white tee as it's par 5, but only par 4 from the yellow tee, making for a very long par 4.
Hole 12 is challenging, there are quite a few bunkers about and sloping ground around the green. The 13th is back across the road.
The longest hole on the course is the 14th at 547 yds, a narrow fairway with thick rough both sides and just three small bunkers. A small to medium sized tree sits in the front right fringe, blocking your view of the green, so keep right.
Sixteen is quite long for a par 3 at over 200yds, with bunkers 60 yds infront of and all around the green. This and the next hole are a memorable part of the course.
The 17th is another par 3 this time a short one at less than 140 yds. You tee across a down slope, the green slopes up out of the fairway. It's easy to leave it short here so take plenty of club.
The course finishes with a fairly straight forward par 4, the main feature of which is a massive bunker almost the full width of the fairway about 70 yds from the green.
A very nice looking course well laid-out and cared for. Good greens and excellent drainage, no squelching around in muddy shoes here"
