Description
|
"Badgemore Park Golf Club was established in 1971. Golf architect Robert Sandow was commissioned to turn the 120 acres of mature woodland and landscaped park, which surrounded the former estate of the McAlpine family, into a beautiful 18-hole golf course.
Over 30 years later a magnificent 6129-yard, 69 par golf course has resulted. The club is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is easily accessible from the historic town of Henley-on-Thames, and also the M4 and M40 motorways. We welcome visitors to the club and offer a variety of facilities. Whether you come to Badgemore Park for golf, for our Management Training Centre or for a wedding or party, our friendly and efficient staff will warmly welcome you.
Members of Badgemore Park Golf Club have the additional benefit of enjoying the facilities at our sister club, Drift Golf Club. Drift Golf Club is located at the foot of the North Surrey hills just 20 miles from the centre of London, close to the A3 and M25. For a course as popular as this one it is nothing short of a miracle that it remains in absolute pristine year-round condition. One recent visitor said it had the best fairways he'd seen in a long time - and that was in November!
Badgemore Park opened in 1971 and was designed by notable golf architect Robert Sandow. His job was to turn the 120 acres of mature woodland and landscaped park, which surrounded the former estate of the McAlpine family, into a beautiful 18-hole golf course. He did just that, and the result of his labour is still being celebrated to this day.
The course is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is easily accessible from the historic town of Henley-on-Thames."
