"Castle Hawk is the self-proclaimed "friendliest golf club in the UK" and the vast range of facilities it offers would certainly add weight to its claim. Boasting both an eighteen and a nine hole course, it also has a bar and restaurant on the grounds which are open seven days a week, and there are shower and changing rooms facilities also.

The course itself is somewhat generous also, consisting of entirely par 3 holes on the outward nine. Indeed, only the twelfth and seventeenth stray from the par 3 formula, the latter being a monstrous, demanding par 5 with more than the odd hazard to overcome to keep your scorecard looking respectable."
